J.P. Martin & Sons Construction Corporation is a family owned General Contracting business with three generations of construction experience to stand on. We specialize in construction and renovation of commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, and residential complexes. We have successfully completed work on schools, churches, medical facilities, large housing projects, office facilities and light manufacturing plants. The more than forty projects completed since 1995 typically range from $10,000 to $4 million. The corporation maintains a bonding capacity of $8 to $9 million with joint venture capabilities to $25 million.
We have the capabilities to perform, with our own forces and equipment, all phases of construction customarily completed by a full service general contractor. These include site work, concrete, structural steel erection, metal framing, rough and finish carpentry, casework, building insulation, drywall, roofing, wall coverings and all interior specialty item installations. We prefer to perform as much of the work as possible with our own forces. When it is determined that a client would be better served, we call upon our dependable network of specialty contractors with whom we have developed excellent working relationships. In all aspects of the project, prompt, dependable, economical service is strongly emphasized.
J.P. Martin & Sons Construction Corporation is a member of Safety First Partnership, a group of safety conscious contractors organized by Jones-Hoxie Corporation and underwritten by Acadia Insurance. The Partnership has a dedicated claims person and two loss control specialists assigned to work solely for the group. The loss control specialists make routine site safety inspections and offer regular safety training sessions for our employees. The Partnership, as a whole, has an excellent safety record and has been able to successfully negotiate reduced classification rates which allows us to pass on the savings to our clients.
J.P. Martin & Sons is a proud member of the Associated General Contractors of America and it's state chapter, the Associated Constructors of Maine.
